Atomium

Information

Designed and built for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair, the Atomium represents an iron crystal with 9 atoms, magnified 165 billion times. What was originally intended as a temporary pavilion, has, over time, become the symbol of Brussels and Belgium.

Today, the Atomium offers the most beautiful view of Brussels and surprises visitors with a variety of exhibitions. More than half of the tour is dedicated to digital art installations. 

INFORMATION

The purchased ticket remains valid from 10 am to 5:30 pm on the selected date, regardless of the time of booking.

During holiday periods, waiting times may be longer due to higher visitor numbers.

Please note that booking fees apply to tickets purchased online.

If online tickets are marked as SOLD OUT, tickets can still be purchased at the Atomium ticket office.

• Open 7 days a week, from Monday to Sunday included

• From 10 am to 6 pm (ticket office closing and last entry at 5:30 pm)

ADAPTED OPENING HOURS

• 1 October 2026: open from noon to 6 pm (ticket office closing and last entry at 5:30 pm)

• 24 and 31 December: from 10 am to 4 pm (ticket office closing and last entry at 3:30 pm)

• 25 December and 1 January: from noon to 6 pm (ticket office closing and last entry at 5:30 pm)
