Initiated by the Atomium’s acquisition of a private collection, the Design Museum Brussels, nestled in the Heysel Plateau, is a place dedicated to 20th century design and its history. Favoring a historical approach and echoing current and future research, the museum aims to make design accessible and understandable to all audiences. Much more than formal, aesthetic, and functional objects, design bears witness to the economic, social, ideological, and cultural conditions of the time. A place for encounters, discoveries and sharing, the Design Museum Brussels promotes the multidimensionality of design through its collections, exhibitions, and mediation activities.

1st Sunday of the month: free admission to the permanent exhibitions (the Plastic Design Collection and belgisch design belge) – ticket on site onlyExceptional closing day : 5th June 2026
Adapted opening hours:

• 24 december & 31 december : open from 11am to 5pm (last entrance at 4.30pm)
• 25 december & 1 january : open from 1pm to 7pm (last entrance at 6.30pm)
